Coronado extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping them up to 6-10. Everything went their way against the Canon City Tigers as they made off with a 15-5 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-8 two weeks ago.

Paige Pakenham made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched six innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. Pakenham was even better at the plate, going 3-for-5 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Coronado got a massive performance out of Madison Grimmer, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. Those two triples gave Grimmer a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Allie Micci, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Coronado kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in four consecutive contests.
As for Canon City, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly ten runs.
On Canon City's side, Khloe Weise made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two triples and one run. Cammi Leis was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Coronado wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 13-7 win against Sand Creek on the 20th. As for Canon City, they will be playing at home against Palmer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Terrors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.17 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
