Basketball Recap: Yreka Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Yreka lost to Trinity back in May of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Miners lost to the Wolves on the road by a 61-43 margin. The Miners have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Trinity's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Claire Cox led the charge by going 5-for-7 en route to 10 points and four steals. Cox is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last six games she's played. Molly Sullivan also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steals of the season.

Yreka's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Trinity, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season.

Yreka has already played their next contest, a 44-24 win against Central Valley on the 6th. As for Trinity, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 58-42 victory against Mt. Shasta on the 6th.
