Football Recap: Brayden Watson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Patuxent over Huntingtown + How To Watch

If Patuxent was riding high fresh off their 48-0 takedown of Thomas Stone last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers fell 21-12 to the Huntingtown Hurricanes on Friday. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hurricanes apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Patuxent lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Brayden Watson, who threw for 233 yards and one TD while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 54 yards.

With the defeat, Patuxent broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-3. As for Huntingtown, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

Looking ahead, Patuxent will host Calvert at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Cavaliers have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups. As for Huntingtown, they will head out to take on Northern at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Hurricanes their first taste of in-conference action this season.
