Soccer Game Preview: Chavez vs. Franklin

Chavez is 2-8 against Franklin since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Chavez Titans will look to defend their home pitch against the Franklin Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Chavez is headed into Tuesday's following a draw, the team's first since January 7. They and Stagg finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Franklin fell victim to Edison and their airtight defense on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Yellowjackets came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 289th, while the Vikings are ranked 609th).

Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 14-4-3. Chavez's draw makes their record 0-10-3 this season.
