With a playoff win on the line, Reedley rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Golden West Trailblazers 1-0. The victory was familiar territory for the Pirates, who have now won three contests in a row.

The result came thanks to Austin Rodriguez's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Reedley's win bumped their record up to 18-11. As for Golden West, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-20 record this season.

Reedley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 6-4 loss against Immanuel on the 22nd. Golden West does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
