Softball Recap: Wewoka Comes Up Short

Wewoka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Asher Indians, falling 15-1. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 10-0 to the Indians when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Wewoka's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Asher, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Asher has already played their next contest (against Wayne), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Wewoka will be paying especially close attention to the Indians' game: after the Indians face off against Stuart, they'll take on Wewoka again at 5:45 p.m. on September 9.
