Softball Recap: Gilmer Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Gilmer can now relate to. They came up short against the Heritage Generals on Wednesday, falling 11-1. The Bobcats have struggled against the Generals recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Gilmer saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braley Stewart, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Gilmer's defeat dropped their record down to 16-15. As for Heritage, they pushed their record up to 16-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

While Gilmer had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
