Recap: Wyoming Area Warriors vs. Pittston Patriots
The Wyoming Area Warriors lost against the Pittston Patriots back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Wyoming Area had to suffer through a rough 41-11 loss at the hands of Pittston. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wyoming Area in their matchups with Pittston: they've now lost five in a row.
Wyoming Area used a three-pronged attack on offense:
Morgan Slusser,
Abigail Sterba, and
Addison Gaylord posted three points each. Sterba also led the team in rebounds with five.
The last time Wyoming Area won on the road was back on Tuesday. Having now lost three straight away contests, they've bumped their record down to 1-3. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 15.7 points per game. As for Pittston, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wyoming Area is on the road again on Saturday and play against Wyoming Valley West at 2:00 p.m. on December 9th. As for Pittston, they will square off against Wyoming Seminary College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
