Soccer Recap: St. Ansgar's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

St. Ansgar came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Ames Little Cyclones. The result was an unpleasant reminder to St. Ansgar of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, St. Ansgar fell to 1-1-1. As for Ames, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Coming up, St. Ansgar will square off against Cedar Falls at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ames, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Northwood-Kensett on the 7th.
