Football Game Preview: Springfield/Comfrey vs. Murray County Central Rebels

Springfield/Comfrey will face off against the Murray County Central Rebels on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Springfield/Comfrey comes in on nine and Murray County Central on seven.

Springfield/Comfrey is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Sleepy Eye/St. Mary's 43-0. Given Springfield/Comfrey's advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota football rankings (they are ranked 18th, while Sleepy Eye/St. Mary's is ranked 151st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Murray County Central gave up the first points on Saturday, but they didn't give up any more after. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 45-7 victory over Russell-Tyler-Ruthton. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Rebels had established a 31-point advantage.

Springfield/Comfrey's win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Murray County Central, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

Springfield/Comfrey strolled past Murray County Central in their previous matchup back in September by a score of 33-15. The rematch might be a little tougher for Springfield/Comfrey since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
