Softball Game Preview: Central Chargers vs. Jefferson County Warriors

Central is a perfect 3-0 against Jefferson County since August of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Chargers will head out on the road to square off against the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Central knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Jefferson County likes a good challenge.

Things were looking good for Central after they put the first run on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Rutland by a score of 11-10.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 runs the game before, Jefferson County was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They came up short against Bleckley County, falling 13-1. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jefferson County's loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Central, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

Central came out on top in a nail-biter against Jefferson County in their previous meeting back in August, sneaking past 5-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chargers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
