Basketball Recap: Leuzinger Takes a Loss

Leuzinger was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 55-47 to the Bishop Alemany Warriors. The Olympians were probably out for revenge after losing 74-57 to them when the teams met back in June of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Leuzinger saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tatyana Aubry went 9 of 12 en route to 22 points in addition to seven assists and six boards. Another player making a difference was Brianna Ike, who went 7 for 9 on her way to 14 points.

Leuzinger's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Bishop Alemany, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-10.

Leuzinger is taking a road trip to face off against Inglewood at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Leuzinger is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.4 points per game this season. As for Bishop Alemany, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Notre Dame Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
