Soccer Recap: Marlborough Gets Big Victory over Higher-Ranked Flintridge Sacred Heart

On Monday, the Marlborough Mustangs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Flintridge Sacred Heart Tologs. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Mustangs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 371st, while the Tologs are ranked 117th).

Marlborough is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-7-1 record this season. As for Flintridge Sacred Heart, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 8-3-3 record.

Marlborough does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Flintridge Sacred Heart, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Immaculate Heart at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Flintridge Sacred Heart's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
