Tulelake won the last time they faced Big Valley and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Tulelake Honkers walked away with a 57-49 win over the Big Valley Cardinals. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Honkers.

Tulelake's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Josefina Mojica led the charge by putting up 12 points. That's the most points Mojica has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenzie Perez, who had 14 points along with five boards and five steals.

Tulelake's victory bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Big Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-16.

Tulelake has already played their next match, a 52-32 win against Surprise Valley on the 14th. As for Big Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 46-34 defeat against Happy Camp on the 14th.
