Football Recap: Eldorado Falls Short Against Ranked Cibola

Eldorado faced Cibola in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Golden Eagles lost 35-14 to the Cougars. The Golden Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Eldorado's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Cibola, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Eldorado has already played their next game, a 28-22 defeat against Los Lunas on the 12th. As for Cibola, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 23-7 victory against Carlsbad on the 11th.
