Baseball Game Preview: Marietta Blue Devils vs. Wheeler Wildcats

For the second straight game, Marietta will face off against Wheeler. The Blue Devils will head out to challenge the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Tuesday, Marietta was able to grind out a solid win over Wheeler, taking the game 7-4. The victory continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won three in a row.

For Wheeler's part, Vaden McCarty made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. McCarty also scored a run, marking his first of the season. Chase Greenwood was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Marietta's win bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Wheeler, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18.
