Football Game Preview: Riverdale Ridge Ravens vs. Skyline Falcons + How To Watch

Riverdale Ridge is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Friday. They will look to defend their home field against the Skyline Falcons at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Skyline will be up against a hot Riverdale Ridge squad: the team just extended their winning streak to five. The Ravens didn't even let Silver Creek on the board on Thursday, marking the Ravens' second-straight 49-0 shutout. The Ravens might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 41 points or more this season.

Riverdale Ridge's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Diego Galvan, who rushed for 120 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only nine carries, and Ricky Weeks, who threw for 131 yards and three TDs. The Ravens also got a significant boost from Dean Presswood, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 84 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Riverdale Ridge was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 254 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Riverdale Ridge's defense and their three sacks. In that department, Jacob Barkto was the leader with two. Barkto is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Skyline). They blew past Standley Lake 55-28 on Friday.

Riverdale Ridge's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Skyline, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Everything came up roses for Riverdale Ridge against Skyline in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 49-0 win. Will the Ravens repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
