Hesston has gone a perfect 5-0 against Trinity Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Swathers will be playing at home against the Knights at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Trinity Academy will be up against a hot Hesston squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Swathers blew past Smoky Valley, posting a 51-0 win. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Swathers just coasted through the last quarter.

It was another big night for Blayne Wilson, who rushed for 155 yards and three scores on only ten carries. Wilson is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 109 every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jerick Humphreys, who threw for 120 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes.
Hesston's run defense was locked in: Smoky Valley could only muster 1.7 yards per carry. The Swathers didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 11.6.
Hesston didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Joshua Duerksen and Gavin Larson. Duerksen got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, while Trinity Academy put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Belle Plaine. The Knights took their contest with ease, bagging a 35-0 victory over the Dragons. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Dragons: they've now won five in a row.
Hesston better keep an eye on Zac Zimmerman. He was instrumental in Trinity Academy's win, rushing for 56 yards and two TDs, while also throwing for 155 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Cale Kaufman was another key player, rushing for 68 yards and one score.
Trinity Academy's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB seven times. The heavy lifting was done by Camdon Killgore and Kaufman, who racked up six sacks between them.
Hesston's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Trinity Academy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Hesston has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 196.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Trinity Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 174.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Hesston against Trinity Academy in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 55-14 win. Do the Swathers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
