Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Esperanza). They were the clear victors by a 73-49 margin over the Los Alamitos Griffins on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Aztecs also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2018.

Esperanza has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.4 points over those games. As for Los Alamitos, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.

Coming up, Esperanza won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Redondo Union at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Los Alamitos, they and Wiseburn- Da Vinci will face off at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played.
