Stevenson waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They walked away with a 56-48 victory over the Coachella Valley Mighty Arabs. While the Pirates didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Stevenson's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Molly Mcafee, who posted 12 points and three steals. Sabrina Hardin was another key player, going 5 of 7 on her way to 10 points and eight rebounds.

Stevenson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive rebounds in five consecutive contests.

Stevenson's record is now 10-1. As for Coachella Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.

Stevenson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 49-44 victory against Laguna Beach on the 30th. As for Coachella Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 65-20 win against Banning on the 30th.
