Soccer Game Preview: Nordhoff vs. Carpinteria

The Nordhoff Rangers will face off against the Carpinteria Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Nordhoff will come in still looking for their first win of the season.

Nordhoff is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They lost 6-2 to Santa Paula on Wednesday.

Lily Quinn and Charlotte Smith scored both of Nordhoff's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in November, Carpinteria was forced to settle for a draw on Thursday. Neither they nor Orcutt Academy could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw. The outcome might've been different if Vivian Huskins hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited her ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

Carpinteria's draw makes their record 2-3-2 this season. As for Nordhoff, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Nordhoff came up short against Carpinteria when the teams last played back in January, falling 2-0. Can Nordhoff avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
