Baseball Game Preview: Oceanside Mariners vs. Lincoln Academy Eagles

For the second straight game, Oceanside will face off against Lincoln Academy. The Mariners will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Oceanside has four straight wins, Lincoln Academy has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Oceanside proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by ten) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past Lincoln Academy 4-3.

The team relied heavily on Aiden Willis, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Braeden Toothaker, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Oceanside's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Lincoln Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.
