Soccer Recap: Athenian Takes a Loss

After soaring to five goals the game before, Athenian was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They lost 8-0 to the Head-Royce Jayhawks. While losing is never fun, the Owls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 887th, while the Jayhawks are ranked 269th).

Athenian now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Head-Royce, they pushed their record up to 17-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

As of now, neither Athenian nor Head-Royce have any future games scheduled.
