Football Recap: St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Le'allyn (AJ) Monroe and Jassi Williams + How To Watch

St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy lost against Trabuco Hills back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Warriors fell 29-20 to the Mustangs. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Jassi Williams and Le'Allyn (AJ) Monroe. Williams threw for 156 yards and a pair of TDs, while Monroe rushed for 71 yards on only eight carries.

Trabuco Hills' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tristan Zale, who threw for 214 yards and three touchdowns. Landon Pompey was another key player, gaining 161 total yards.

St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Trabuco Hills, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy will square off against Newbury Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Trabuco Hills, they will face off against El Toro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
