Football Game Preview: Alexandria Trojans vs. Many Tigers

The Alexandria Trojans will head out to take on the Many Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Alexandria will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

Alexandria barely beat Opelousas the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Trojans breezed past the Tigers to the tune of 59-6 on Friday. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by 47 points or more this season.

Alexandria's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Kason Williams, who gained 184 total yards and two touchdowns, and Karsen Sellers, who threw for 199 yards and four TDs on only 14 passes.

Alexandria was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 295 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Alexandria's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB 11 times. Xzavier White led the group effort, picking up three of those sacks all by himself. Jackson Townsend also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with seven. Another thorn in Opelousas' side was Jaden Bayonne, who picked up 1.5 sacks and made five total tackles (3.5 for loss).

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Friday. Many fell 39-28 to St. Mary. Many has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Many's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Alexandria, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Everything came up roses for Alexandria against Many in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 69-7 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
