Football Recap: Satsuma Finds Home Field Redemption Against St. Luke's Episcopal

There's no place like home for Satsuma, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the St. Luke's Episcopal Wildcats by a score of 31-20 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Gators also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Despite the loss, St. Luke's Episcopal saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jathan Richardson rushed for 128 yards and one TD on only 11 carries. Richardson's longest rush was for an impressive 65 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Satsuma's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for St. Luke's Episcopal, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Coming up, Satsuma will take on W.S. Neal at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Luke's Episcopal, they will square off against Blacksher at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' defense has only allowed 10.6 points per game this season, so the Wildcats' offense will have their work cut out for them.
