Basketball Recap: Frontier Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Frontier Academy's tournament run continued when they took on Monte Vista on Saturday. The Wolverines were beaten by the Pirates 56-19. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Pirates are ranked 29th).

Frontier Academy used a three-pronged attack on offense: Emily Gesick, Aliya Muniz, and Sherri Meza posted three points each. Emily Van Den Elzen held things down on the boards with seven rebounds.

Frontier Academy now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Monte Vista, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Frontier Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 30-26 victory against Valley on the 16th. Monte Vista and Hoehne will compete for holiday cheer at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Pirates 28.4, the Farmers 30) so any points scored will be well earned.
