Basketball Game Preview: Valley View Eagles vs. Poly Bears

The Valley View Eagles will square off against the Poly Bears at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Valley View is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Rancho Christian on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Valley View was dealt an 87-54 defeat at the hands of Rancho Christian. The loss continues a trend for Valley View in their matchups with Rancho Christian: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Poly can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They secured a 38-33 W over Paloma Valley.

Poly found their leader in freshman Abby Folsom, who posted 15 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Folsom has scored at least a third of Poly's points.

Valley View's defeat dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Poly, their victory bumped their record up to 11-12.

Valley View strolled past Poly when the teams last played two weeks ago by a score of 60-46. Will Valley View repeat their success, or does Poly have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
