Sylmar falls despite strong effort from Mia Ceja

On Thursday, Sylmar was beaten by Eagle Rock 67-29. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Sylmar has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Sylmar still got an impressive performance from Mia Ceja, who scored 25 points. Ceja scored a full 86.2% of Sylmar's points, the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Sylmar's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Eagle Rock, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Sylmar won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Crenshaw at 4:30 p.m. on January 5th. One thing working in Crenshaw's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matches. Eagle Rock won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Arleta at 6:00 p.m. on January 5th. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Aaliyah Serpas and Brooklyn Romero.
