River Valley put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Homer-Center Wildcats 68-22. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the Wildcats are ranked 438th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ava Persichetti was her usual excellent self, going 11 of 14 en route to 26 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Maren Dunlap, who went 6 for 10 on her way to 14 points and four steals.

River Valley pushed their record up to 18-0 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.5 points per game. As for Homer-Center, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-11.

River Valley has already played their next matchup, a 53-26 win against Richland on the 25th. As for Homer-Center, they will head out on the road to face off against Purchase Line at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
