Basketball Recap: Clarion Area Bobcats vs. Clarion-Limestone Lions

Clarion Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-45 heartbreaker at the hands of the Clarion-Limestone Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-33 two weeks ago.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clarion-Limestone to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kalyssa Ferguson, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 12 points and three steals. Those 12 points gave Ferguson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Julianna Schwabenbauer, who went 5-for-9 en route to 10 points and eight boards.

Clarion Area's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Clarion-Limestone, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.
