Softball Game Preview: Ada Cougars vs. McLoud Redskins

The Ada Cougars will venture away from home to square off against the McLoud Redskins at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Ada is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Ada couldn't beat Tishomingo on Saturday even though they stacked five runs on them in the third inning. The Cougars took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians.

Meanwhile, McLoud didn't have quite enough to beat Harrah on Thursday and fell 2-1.

McLoud saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Soward, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

McLoud's defeat dropped their record down to 24-8-1. As for Ada, their loss dropped their record down to 10-16-2.

Ada skirted past McLoud 9-7 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
