McGill-Toolen had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Fairhope Pirates by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. The win was nothing new for the Yellowjackets as they're now sitting on 36 straight.

Catherine Mcclain paced McGill-Toolen's offense, picking up 20 kills. Mcclain got some help from Alice Wood and her 50 assists. Wood was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

McGill-Toolen's victory bumped their record up to 42-2. As for Fairhope, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 23-21 record this season.

McGill-Toolen has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Enterprise on the 22nd. Fairhope does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
