Basketball Game Preview: California School for the Deaf Eagles vs. Redwood Christian Eagles

California School for the Deaf is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest loss since December 14, 2024 on Thursday. They were outmatched by Making Waves Academy and fell 49-22. The Eagles have struggled against the Marlins recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Redwood Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Holy Names with a sharp 29-6 win on Thursday. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 23 points or more this season.

Redwood Christian found their leader in sophomore Lilliana Faumuina, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 steals. Those 11 steals gave Faumuina a new career-high. Madyson Krowicki was another key player, putting up eight points.

Redwood Christian pushed their record up to 12-11 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.5 points over those games. As for California School for the Deaf, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-9.

California School for the Deaf came out on top in a nail-biter against Redwood Christian in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, sneaking past 27-25.
