Softball Recap: Union Grove Comes Up Short

Union Grove was the 7-6 winner over Marist when they last played one another on Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Wolverines fell just short of the War Eagles by a score of 11-10 on Monday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Wolverines, who until this game were averaging 3.11 runs allowed.

Lauren Jordan was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Aniyah Griffin, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Union Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 20-7. As for Marist, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Union Grove nor Marist have any future games scheduled.
