Softball Recap: Lake Oconee Academy Takes Down Miller County in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Lake Oconee Academy walked away with it. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Miller County Pirates a 9-0 shutout on Monday. Nine seems to be a good number for the Titans as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The team relied heavily on Shelby Robinson, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in September. Molly Hiter was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Lake Oconee Academy's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-14. As for Miller County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-11.

As of now, neither Lake Oconee Academy nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
