Football Recap: Cedar Bluff Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Cedar Bluff extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 2-5. They took a blow against the Pleasant Valley Raiders, falling 34-6. The Tigers lost against the Raiders in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 20-19 score last time.

As for Pleasant Valley, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.3 points over those games.

Leading Pleasant Valley to victory were Braxton Salster and Kayden Vick. Salster rushed for 39 yards and a pair of TDs, while Vick rushed for 97 yards and one score. The dominant performance also gave Salster a new career-high in passer rating (91.9).

Looking ahead, Cedar Bluff will face off against Pisgah at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pleasant Valley, they will square off against Gaston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34.83 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
