In Friday's league match, the visiting Pleasant Valley Raiders football squad scored a good 34-6 triumph over the Cedar Bluff Tigers.

In their next game, the Raiders play the Gaston Bulldogs (Gadsden, AL) in a 2A Region 7 challenge, on Friday, October 10. Pleasant Valley will attempt to improve on its 6-1 season record. The Bulldogs go into the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 42-30 league loss to Section (Section, AL).

The Tigers (2-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Pisgah (Pisgah, AL). The Eagles go into the 2A Region 7 challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, Pisgah toppled Sand Rock (Leesburg, AL), 56-0, in a league challenge.
