Baseball Game Preview: Branham Bruins vs. Christopher Cougars

For the second straight game, Branham will face off against Christopher. The Bruins will take on the Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Branham is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 11 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Christopher on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 2-1.

Marcus Price spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on nine hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Branham saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Troy Quam, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

The victory got Christopher back to even at 11-11. As for Branham, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.
