The Christopher Cougars (Gilroy, CA) baseball trounced the visiting Branham Bruins (San Jose, CA), 9-1 in Friday's league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 12-11 record. They take the field next when they host Piedmont Hills for a Mount Hamilton challenge on Tuesday, May 12. Christopher will clash with a Pirates team coming off a 12-9 league loss to Westmont (Campbell, CA). The Pirates record now stands at 11-11.

With the defeat, Branham drops to 7-15 on the year. The Bruins travel to Santa Teresa (San Jose, CA) to clash with the Saints in a Mount Hamilton challenge on Tuesday, May 12. The Saints go into the challenge with a record of 13-10. Santa Teresa won 9-4 in their recent non-league challenge against MacDonald (San Jose, CA)
