Harris County came tearing into Friday's contest with six straight wins dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Perry Panthers. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

Harris County got a massive performance out of Harper Horton, who fired off two home runs while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Guthrey, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

Harris County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .522. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in five consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Harris County's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Perry, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Harris County will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Houston County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Perry, they will welcome Jones County at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Greyhounds have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
