Bourbon County is a perfect 5-0 against Mason County since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Colonels are taking a road trip to face off against the Royals at 6:00 p.m. Bourbon County has now lost 11 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 2.

Lexington Christian hit Bourbon County with a six-run fourth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Colonels lost 12-2 to the Eagles.

Meanwhile, Mason County came up short against Manchester on Wednesday and fell 8-5.

Mason County now has a losing record of 12-13-1. As for Bourbon County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-18.

Bourbon County came out on top in a nail-biter against Mason County when the teams last played back in April of 2025, sneaking past 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colonels since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
