Softball Game Preview: Davenport Bulldogs vs. Cleveland Tigers

The Davenport Bulldogs will face off against the Cleveland Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Davenport's favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home while Cleveland has been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road.

Davenport proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 12) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Union City 6-4.

Meanwhile, Cleveland came up short against Berryhill on Thursday and fell 8-3.

Cleveland saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abigail Bevins, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.

Davenport's victory bumped their record up to 22-7. As for Cleveland, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-22.

Davenport was able to grind out a solid win over Cleveland in their previous meeting back in August, winning 8-5. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
