Soccer Recap: Crossroads vs. Venice

Crossroads was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of the Venice Gondoliers by a score of 2-1. The Roadrunners were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Gondoliers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2018.

Crossroads' goal came courtesy of Bailey Pardee, which was the first she's scored this season.

Crossroads' loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Venice, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-1-2 record this season.

Crossroads will be home for the holidays to greet Bishop Conaty-Loretto at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Crossroads' last five games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Venice, they will head out to take on Granada Hills Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
