Baseball Recap: Trinity Prep Takes a Loss

Trinity Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 16-1 to the Peachtree Academy Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-2 back in March.

Trinity Prep saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Koltin Day, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Trinity Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Peachtree Academy, they pushed their record up to 11-9 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Trinity Prep will challenge Monsignor Donovan Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Rams have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.44 runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of. Peachtree Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
