Chico posted their closest victory since January 23, 2024 on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 47-44 win over the Arcata Tigers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Chico's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kayleigh Solano, who posted 15 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Josie Carlos, who earned seven points along with seven boards and three steals.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tae Wolford, who put up 16 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Mae Wolford, who had 11 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals.

Chico is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.4 points per game. As for Arcata, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7.
