Baseball Recap: Williamson Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Williamson's offense. They came up short against the Sodus Spartans on Thursday, falling 7-0. The Marauders have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Williamson saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charlie Bobowski, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that Bobowski has snagged this season.

Williamson's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Sodus, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Williamson will face off against North Rose-Wolcott at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sodus, they will challenge Geneva at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
