Softball Recap: Choctawhatchee Indians vs. Arnold Marlins

Choctawhatchee extended their losing streak to four on Monday, dropping them down to 1-15. They fell 10-7 to the Arnold Marlins. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Marlins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-10 back in March.

Alivia Towery made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Alissa Brown also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

As for Arnold, they pushed their record up to 13-8 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games.

On Arnold's side, Laela Kern was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Caydence Corbitt was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Coming up, Choctawhatchee will square off against Pensacola at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
