Basketball Recap: Delta Charter Takes a Loss

Delta Charter lost against Stockton Christian back in February of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Delta Charter Dragons took a blow against the Stockton Christian Eagles, falling 39-12. The Dragons were down 30-7 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Delta Charter lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Marisa Ballesteros, who posted eight points and five steals.

Jami Araya was the offensive standout of the match as she had 18 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Stockton Christian's points.

This is the second loss in a row for Delta Charter and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Stockton Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-8.

Delta Charter didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-10 defeat against Turlock Christian on the 8th. Stockton Christian has also already played their next contest, a 27-22 win against Vanguard College Prep on the 9th.
