Recap: Grant Pacers vs. Damonte Ranch Mustangs
The Grant Pacers put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Damonte Ranch by a score of 55-42.
Grant got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Samaya Dillard out in front who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. The contest was Dillard's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Nerissa Hamilton was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six steals and five rebounds.
Despite the defeat, Damonte Ranch saw an underclassman step up: Mya Ghisletta scored 16 points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Ghisletta scored 15 or more points.
Grant's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Damonte Ranch, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Grant won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Cardinal Newman at 2:30 p.m. on December 9th. Damonte Ranch and Vanden will face off at 11:30 a.m. on December 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Vanden will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 229th in California, while Damonte Ranch is ranked 56th in Nevada).
